This is the first of a series of posts about the benefits and uses of Extra Virgin, Cold Pressed Jojoba oil. This time we will be listing the surprising and versatile properties of Jojoba Oil. Are you ready? Let's delve in:

Jojoba Oil, or, more correctly Jojoba Wax, is a liquid wax extrated from the nut of the Jojoba shrub. It is liquid in room temperature and Extra Virgin Jojoba Oil has a golden yellowish color with a slightly nutty aroma to it.
Jojoba oil contains a tremendous amount of important vitamins and minerals, essential for healthy skin and hair: vitamins E, B complex, copper, Zink, selenium, iodine and chromium just to name a few. It's structurally similar to our skin's natural sebum so it can be used even on the most sensitive skin. It's so similar in fact, that oily skin can be balanced with Jojoba oil application! Say farewell to that shiny T zone! Jojoba oil is extremely stable and does not require any stabilizers or preservatives, but, as all oils it is best kept out of direct sunlight, preferably in a dark or opaque container. Jojoba oil is great as a hair conditioner, softening and moisturizing hair and scalp. Great for calming an itchy scalp and for giving your hair that healthy shine and softness. Jojoba oil is also great for washing and cleaning the face. That's right! Being so similar to our natural sebum, it dissolves and extracts impurities while moisturizing and nourishing the skin. With regular use, Jojoba oil will help balance oily and acne prone skin, black heads and other skin problems associated with sebum production. It also doubles as a great, natural makeup remover! Give Jojoba oil a try, you'll be surprised that you've managed to live without it so far! We use jojoba oil in most of our products for it's balancing properties. We also stock 100% pure Organic Cold Pressed Jojoba Oil separately. Our jojoba oil comes from a single plantation in the Negev Desert in Israel, the Negev's soil is rich in minerals and nutrients, making it a perfect place to harvest the highest quality jojoba oil.
Stay tuned for the next part, where we will share a tutorial of how to clean and moisturize your skin with Jojoba Oil.
